Event: First Friday: Marine Art Paint Out Exhibition
Date: Friday, June 4
Time: 5:00-7:00 p.m.
Price: Free, All Ages
Description: Come view the artwork created by Steve Rogers, member of the American Society of Marine Artists and the students from his Marine Art Paint Out in Bowers Beach. Those looking to decorate their homes with local scenes will have the opportunity to support emerging artists in the process. Light refreshments will be served.

This program is partially funded by a grant from the Delaware Humanities Forum, a state program of the National Endowment for the Humanities.

Event: Biggs Kids: Under the Sea
Date: Saturday, June 5
Time: 2:00-3:00 p.m.
Price: Free, Children Ages 5-10
Description: Explore the under water food chain to understand how each living thing gets food, and how nutrients and energy are passed from being to being and create a “Fish”tastic work of art!

Event: Go Green! Crochet Workshop with Ann Gravatt
Date: Saturday, June 12 and Saturday, June 19
Time: 10:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m.
Price: $25 Members/$30 Not-yet Members for both sessions
Description: Learn how to crochet a market bag during these two instructional classes. Never have to use plastic bags again! All supplies will be provided.

Event: Mini-Masters: Plant Pals
Date: Wednesday, June 16
Time: 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.
Price: Free, Children Ages 3-5
Description: See how your “Plant Pal” grew and decorate him or her to take home. There will be extra plant pals for children that were not at the May 2010 Biggs Kids program.

Event: Art at Lunch: Fruit and Vegetable Canning
Date: Wednesday, June 16
Time: 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Price: $20 not-yet members /$18 members
Description: Learn about the basics of food preservation, hot water bath and pressure methods of canning salsa, green beans, relish and peaches. Ticket price includes lunch.

Event: Museum Yoga with Ann Gravatt
Date: Tuesday, June 29
Time: 5:30-6:30 p.m.
Price: $10 Members/$12 Not-Yet Members
Description: Explore art and the artistry of yoga by immersing yourself in a yoga practice that incorporates the serenity of an art museum. You’ll leave this experience with a sense of well being. Suitable for all skill levels, from the novice to the experienced practitioner. Dress in loose, comfortable clothing and bring a large towel or yoga mat.
